Taxi / Vehicle Fee Notes

GENERAL NOTES

  1. Franchisee and Vehicle Franchise fees are due on January 1st of each year.
  2. Vehicle permit renewal fees are due on or before June 30th of each year.
  3. Driver permit renewal fees are due between May 1st and June 30th of each year.
  4. New taxicab driver permit fees shall be prorated monthly based on the number of calendar months remaining until the permit expires in accordance with Santa Monica Municipal Code Section 6.49.050(d).
  5. If a due date falls on a weekend day or holiday, the due date is the next City of Santa Monica business day following the due date.
  6. Senior Citizens (persons age 65 and older) and persons with disabilities (including persons with a Los Angeles County Transit Operators Association Metro Disabled Identity Card) shall be given a ten percent (10%) taxicab fare discount. The discount shall apply to all destinations and trips.
